StubHub
Each year, millions of people use StubHub to book tickets for concerts, sporting events, and other activities. If they change their minds or find they can’t make it, StubHub tries to make it right. Sometimes that means giving buyers a refund and taking possession of the tickets.
Since one of StubHub’s core values is not to compete with our sellers, StubHub doesn’t re-list or resell these tickets, rather we made the decision in 2010 to auction these extra tickets through eBay’s Giving Works program and donate the proceeds to charitable organizations. The porgam was named Give-and-Go,and the impact was significant, generating more than $1 million in for charity in the first year alone.
StubHub
Today we’re building upon that success. The newly created StubHub Foundation enables us to grant funds raised through Give-and-Go to charitable organizations, especially those that encourage and build confidence in young people through arts and recreation. StubHub has teamed up with partners like the American Heart Association to support innovative, effective programs that get kids involved and help those in need. As more people use Give-and-Go to buy tickets to their favorite activities, we’re able to do more good in the communities we serve.
Who knew a few spare tickets could make such a big difference? Through Give-and-Go and the StubHub Foundation, we’re proud to elevate the efforts of charitable organizations around the world that are creating brighter futures for young people.
